Chapter 3 · 3.2
The login code by email (two-step verification)
Watch it in a short video
After your password, My WebOké always asks for a second step: a 6-digit code that we send to your email address. This is called two-step verification. It's switched on for everyone and you can't turn it off. Would you rather not receive a code by email? Then use an authenticator app, see Using an authenticator app.
Entering the code
- Log in with your email address and password, see Logging in to My WebOké.
- You'll see the Enter your security code screen. Open your mailbox. You'll have received an email titled Your security code.
- Type the 6 digits into the Security code field (1). You can also paste it in. As soon as all 6 digits have been entered, it will continue automatically. You don't need to click Verify.

The code is valid for 10 minutes and only works once. If you request a new code, the old one will stop working.
Didn't receive a code?
- Check your spam folder.
- Click Resend by email (2) for a new code. You can do this three times every five minutes.
- Do you have a mobile number in your details? Then you'll also see the Send via WhatsApp button (3). You'll then receive the code on your phone. If your number doesn't have WhatsApp, we'll send the code by text message.
- Use Cancel (4) to go back to the login page.
Please note: after five incorrect codes, we stop the login process for security reasons. Simply log in again with your password. You'll then receive a new code.
Where can you see which method is active?
In the menu at the bottom left, go to Login details. On the Two-factor authentication card, you'll see Method: Email code with the Active label (1). Below that, you can use Set up (2) to switch to an authenticator app.

Tip: did you receive a code that you didn't request yourself? Then someone else may know your password. Choose a new password straight away (Setting, changing or forgetting your password). This will also log you out of all other devices.
