Creating a WordPress staging environment

A staging site is a development environment where you can make changes to your website without affecting the live version of your website.

You can synchronise the staging site to the live site at any time, so that your changes are applied.
In this article we explain how to create a staging site easily.

Go to the DirectAdmin control panel

- Open Installatron

- Next to your existing WordPress installation, click Clone

- Choose the destination the WordPress site should be copied to. Then tick the Create a staging site? option.

- To copy the content of the staging site to the live website, click Synchronise next to the live website

- In the dropdown menu, choose the location of the staging site that should be synchronised to the live website.
