Quarantine and DNS BE domain names
A .BE domain name can end up in quarantine if the domain name is deleted by the registrar. The domain name then basically remains inactive in quarantine for 40 days, after which it becomes available again and can be registered by others.
The domain name can be reactivated by the registrar that deleted it. However, it is also possible to instruct a new registrar to start a transfer out of quarantine. These transactions are more expensive than a normal transfer because this is not the standard procedure. It is also important to know that this transfer must be approved and completed before the end of the quarantine period. If not, the domain name will irrevocably become available to others.
In addition to the domain costs, we charge 20 euros for taking a domain name out of quarantine that ended up in quarantine with us, and 50 euros for transferring a domain name out of quarantine at another registrar.
