I want to upload and extract a ZIP file. How do I do that?

You can upload a zip file (or .tar.gz file) with FTP or via the file manager in the DirectAdmin control panel. After uploading, you can extract this zip file in one go via the file manager in the control panel.

If you want to upload a zip file in Gallery2, Gallery2 offers an option to upload photos via an applet. If you activate the plugins "Add Items" and "Upload Applet" in site administration, you have a fairly smooth way of uploading lots of photos without using the zip function (almost as good as with a zip file).
