Default mail/admin account in DirectAdmin
By default, DirectAdmin includes a mailbox with the same name as the username of the DirectAdmin account.
This mailbox does not count towards your limit and you can ignore it.
Some properties of this mailbox:
- If you want to use this account via webmail or your email program, the username is without @domein.xx. For email addresses you create yourself, it is always with @domein.xx after it
- You cannot change the quota of a default account
- You cannot change the password of the default account: it is always the same as the password of the control panel
- You cannot delete the default account
- Any system messages from DirectAdmin end up in the default account
- You can use the account via webmail.weboke.nl. Log in with just the username (without @domein.xx) and under server enter either your domain name or the server name (e.g. linuxXX.webawere.nl). For a normal email address you can leave the server name empty.
