I want to remove my website but keep my email
If you no longer want your website to be shown on the internet but you do want to keep your email, you still need the hosting package.
- Log in to DirectAdmin/the control panel
- Use the file manager to go to the folder /domains/yourdomain.xx/public_html
- Delete all files and folders in the public_html folder
- If you now visit your website in a browser, an error message will be shown. If you are fine with that, you are done. If you want to show a message such as 'This website has been discontinued', create a file called index.html in the public_html folder containing that text.
